A special commission inspired by the fig trees in a client’s neighborhood, their daughter’s love of butterflies and their Georgia Tech (yellow jacket) graduate son.

Commissions are an opportunity to create a truly meaningful piece of artwork.

From collecting specimens to photograph for reference, to mocking up photographic compositions for approval, Hannah’s process is what makes her commissioned projects a collaborative and completely customized experience.

Hanlon feels at home working on custom projects, and enjoys the problem solving and collaborative process of working with a client. She has a streamlined approach to understanding the needs of each client by presenting creative concepts, final designs, and expectations based on client needs. Each custom project is quoted individually based on the size of the final work, complexity of subject matter and medium.

Custom projects require 8-10 weeks lead time in order to properly research plant and animal species. In most cases specimens are gathered and or photographed to design a composition and concept that holds special meaning to each client.

Due to the time intensive nature of custom work, there are limited commission spots per year. All commissioned works begin with an initial call to discuss the project, followed by a detailed proposal that includes a scope and timeline.

For those who are interested, I can provide complimentary framing consulting with my preferred Atlanta framer. I can also coordinate white glove delivery with my trusted art delivery service.

A Client in Nantucket wanted an original work for their new summer home.

Together we researched species native to the area and decided to create a dynamic composition featuring three seals playing in the harbor, inspired by their three young children.

This project involved extensive research, observation, even the capturing and documentation of species up close.

This pair of flora and fauna illustrations were commissioned for a Ponte Vedra home. Client collaboration was required to pick just the right subject matter and species, which was inspired by the more tropical climate and a pink and green color palette.

A client contacted me to create a unique and detailed piece that captured the tiny ecosystem living in his potted jasmine.

This custom octopus drawing was the perfect addition to a Florida beach home.

A client wanted a pair of colorful beetles for their new born son’s nursery.
